There is an opportunity that might be of interest to the young people you work with or other contacts within your networks.

Sunderland Culture has just launched a Hidden Nature Photography Competition for children and young people inspired by the natural history collections at Sunderland Museum & Winter Gardens and photographs from the online Sunderland Photographic Association exhibition at Arts Centre Washington.

Children and young people aged 7 -19 are invited to submit their entries via our online application form with the chance to win a cyanotype activity pack (2 per age category) with materials and instructions enclosed (parental supervision is required for younger children). The 6 prize-winning photos will be posted on Sunderland Culture’s social media channels and they will also be printed and exhibited in the Theatre foyer at Arts Centre Washington once the building reopens to the public.

All submitted images will be displayed digitally in Arts Centre Washington and a digital exhibition will be available on the venue’s Instagram page from Monday 14 September 2020.

The closing date for entries is Wednesday 2 September 2020
